The PN unequivocally states that there is no cause for concern on its position on abortion and euthanisia because it remains unchanged, that is in favour of life.
During this weekend's General Convention, a suggestion was made by one of the participants calling upon the party to be fully informed about various social issues in order to be prepared should they ever arise. This would enable the party to discuss the issue in an informed and mature manner rather than be caught unprepared.
This was the sole point of the suggestion and not to change the party position.
