Ministru għall-Edukazzjoni u x-Xogħol: To ask the Minister, whether he is aware
that a significant number of non-Maltese speaking parents whose children are
following studies at the Marsascala Primary School are interested in learning
the Maltese language themselves? In view
of this, can the Minister indicate the possibility to start teaching the
Maltese language to these foreign adult students at the above-mentioned school
or in a neighbouring school during the day in the next academic year? Can the
reply be forwarded in the English language?

BARTOLO: I am informed that the Directorate for Lifelong
Learning already offers this service to non-Maltese speaking parents and will
continue to offer during the next scholastic year 20 courses in Maltese as
Foreign Language, across different centres in Malta and Gozo. These courses are open to all adults. Registrations open on 12 July 2016.
